Jan 1- Cord Cutting Spell
If you’re interested in the detailed information about my January 1st TikTok video, keep reading below :)
This spell is not recommended for beginners or those who identify as baby witches. However, I do not like to gatekeep. Please be aware of adverse effects and backfiring that may happen if you are not educated on the materials you are using, or properly protecting yourself for spell work. You should absolutely start off with more simple spell work and fully research methods of protecting yourself if you wish to try a spell like this. Remember, your practice is your own, this is just how I did this spell. I will be purposefully keeping moderately vague with this spell to encourage your own research.
This intent of this spell is to cut emotional as well as spiritual ties form another individual.
Materials used:
Incense, to cleanse and prep the space.
Two candles, one to represent yourself and one to represent the other individual. Typically white and black, respectively.
Salt, and other herbs that represent the intent of the spell. I use herbs for protection, as well as herbs that represent the relationship with this person and my intended outcome.
Twine, to tie the two candles together.
Lit candle, to light the spell candles,
Protective crystals and stones.
Ritual:
1- Cleanse and prepare the space, including casting a circle.
2- Lay herbs in a circle, clockwise with salt on the bottom layer.
3- Anoint and fill candles with your intention.
4- Bind the candles together by wrapping and tying twine around them.
5- Light each of the two candles, using a third lit candle. I prefer this method to lighting with matches or a lighter.
6- As the candles burn, I recite a personalized mantra for the spell.
7- Watch the candles burn down, and the bind become undone. You may chose to read the flame and wax from the candles.
You should NEVER leave an open flame unattended for any period of time. Put out uncontrolled fires involving candles or wax by smothering, as water will cause the wax to spit hot droplets.
